WHRNXT works differently depending on what you're doing — standing somewhere, planning ahead, or following a route you already built. Pick a mode to see how it works.
For when you're already somewhere and want to know what's around you.
Tap Current at the top so WHRNXT uses your GPS. Move between the Sights, Events, Food, and Transit tabs — everything is listed nearest-first. Tap a place for details, directions, or to book a ride, and swipe left/right inside it to flip through the list. In Settings, Show nearby within limits the list to a distance you choose.
For sizing up a city you haven't reached yet — no location needed.
Tap the Current button to switch to Browsing, then pick any city. You'll see its places as if you were standing in the middle of it, with distances measured from the city center. Tap Browsing again to snap back to where you really are. This is the mode running in the demo above.
For turning a pile of places into a day you can actually walk.
Tap the Planning tab, then New itinerary. Use Add Day to pick that day's city, then Add stops — the list re-sorts by distance from your last stop, so the route builds itself. Tap the ⚓ anchor to lock a stop in place and ✨ Optimize route to arrange the rest around it. Then ▶ Launch day to follow it live, or Share to send it to someone as a link.
For the places you want to keep, rename, or annotate for yourself.
Tap the ★ on any place to save it, and find everything you've starred in the ★ tab. Open a place and tap ✏️ to give it your own name ("Mom's favorite pizza"), or jot a private note below the address ("gate code 1234") — both stay on your device and are never shared. The 📍 button adds your own spots: pin exactly where you're standing, or search an address and drag the pin.
